TT Embassy in Venezuela warns Trinis

News day / In an email response to Newsday yesterday the ministry reported that the Embassy has not received any reports of any incidents involving Trinidad and Tobago nationals related to the current unrest.

Asked if the work of the Embassy had been affected by the unrest, which has left more than 40 people dead, the ministry reported “the Embassy of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago in Caracas in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela continues to meet its responsibilities and fulfil its mandate as circumstances allow.” Asked what advice the Embassy had for nationals residing in Venezuela in light of ongoing unrest the ministry reported that it “advises that Trinidad and Tobago nationals continue to exercise vigilance and caution, especially during periods of protest action.”
