That’s because nearly 50 hotel rooms have been booked for the two events – the Pro Qualifiers and the Pro Divisions – slated for the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre.

“It is great to have contests of this magnitude in Barbados with a pro event being held on our shores for the first time. Fans will get the chance to see international quality bodybuilding, bikini fitness, men’s physique and figure competitions but there are also tourism benefits.
“We have close to 50 rooms already, most of them on the south [coast]. That is major. The response has been heartening. Trinidad and Tobago has 18 competitors and plenty of supporters so the hotels and guest houses should do well,” he said. (MK)
