Police announce holiday schedule to stamp documents for vehicle export

PHILIPSBURG–The Traffic Department of the St. Maarten Police Force KPSM announced on Monday the holiday schedule to have the official documents stamped for legally exporting vehicles.

The regular schedule to have this service done is Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10:00am to 12:00pm.

Due to the holiday season, there will be no stamping on Wednesday, December 25; Monday, December 30; Wednesday, January 1, 2020; and Friday, January 3, 2020, announced police

Stamping will resume on Monday, January 6, 2020

“All stamping of documents for vehicles to be exported will take place at the Philipsburg police station,” said police in a press release on Monday

Police also remind persons about the required documents to legally export a vehicle

Non-residents are required to have the vehicle’s inspection card, a bill of sale, a letter indicating where the vehicle is being exported to, copies of the identification documents (IDs) of the seller and buyer, and the vehicle’s insurance certificate. The vehicle will also be inspected by police officials
