Prime Minister Andrew Holness is to announce on June 22 the protocols for reopening of the entertainment sector. Culture and Entertainment Minister Olivia Grange gave the timeline while speaking in the House of Representatives on Tuesday afternoon. She noted that, similar to the resumption of sports, “the resumption of entertainment will have to be a gradual process and we will also have to consider capacity limits, as well as authorised venues where the necessary protocols can be implemented.” Miss Grange said the ministry has proposed a list of venues which can be used. These include Independence Park, Trelawny multi-purpose stadium, Port Royal entertainment zone, including Fort Rocky and Fort Charles, as well as Seville Heritage Park. The ministry is also offering to subsidise the cost of using the venues. The prime minister has said the government is aiming to reopen the sector this summer.
