SONY PARTICIPA EN EL CES 2023
Kenichiro Yoshida, Presidente del Consejo, Presidente y CEO de Sony Group Corporation, tomó el escenario en la conferencia de prensa de Sony el miércoles, 4 de enero, en anticipación a la inauguración de la exposición. Explicó que la colaboración con los creadores de contenido que son quienes crean Kando (emociones) es esencial para cumplir el propósito de Sony de “llenar el mundo de emociones a través del poder de la creatividad y la tecnología”.
Enfatizó también que compartir el tiempo y el espacio “en vivo” es la esencia del entretenimiento, y que la tecnología de creación e interacción de Sony apoyará el mundo virtual para brindar experiencias en vivo y conectarlas con el mundo físico en maneras emocionantes.
El directivo de Sony estuvo acompañado de una diversa variedad de oradores de los mundos de las películas, videojuegos, música, deportes y movilidad para hablar sobre el potencial de ampliar el alcance del entretenimiento a través de la tecnología.

Principales productos y tecnologías que se expondrán
Con el tema “Moving People Forward” (Impulsar a las personas), la exposición se enfocará en los esfuerzos de Sony para mover el corazón de las personas y ampliar las posibilidades del entretenimiento a través de varias tecnologías e iniciativas relacionadas con el metaverso, la movilidad y otras áreas, y a través de su colaboración con los creadores.
Como iniciativa ambiental, algunos paneles del stand están fabricados con Original Blended Material, un material de papel desarrollado por Sony. Original Blended Material es un material de papel ambientalmente responsable fabricado con bambú, caña de azúcar y papel reciclado posconsumo, cuyos orígenes se especifican. Asimismo, para disminuir el desperdicio de materiales, Sony se esfuerza por reducir el impacto ambiental mediante la reutilización de las cortinas que se utilizan en otros eventos y el uso de materiales rentados.

- STAR SPHERE
STAR SPHERE es un proyecto para acercar el espacio a todos y descubrir las “perspectivas del espacio” para brindar la oportunidad de pensar sobre el ambiente global y los problemas sociales. El 3 de enero de 2023 (hora estándar del Pacífico) se lanzó un nanosatélite a control remoto denominado “EYE” equipado con una cámara capaz de tomar fotografías desde el espacio. Sony expondrá "Space Shooting Lab", un simulador experimental que propone un “espacio” para fotografía experimental desde el espacio que STAR SPHERE planea ofrecer en el futuro, y el modelo de un nanosatélite equipado con equipo fotográfico de Sony.

Esta exposición presenta iniciativas relacionadas con las nuevas experiencias basadas en datos para los fans deportivos y lleva a los visitantes por el proceso de los datos deportivos: desde capturar datos en el campo, crear contenido virtual en tiempo real y ofrecer varias plataformas a los fans. Múltiples tecnologías de Hawk-Eye Innovations (“Hawk-Eye”), Beyond Sports y Pulselive, todas compañías de Sony Group, expondrán la capacidad de los negocios deportivos de Sony para revolucionar verdaderamente la manera en que capturamos, visualizamos, entregamos y generamos datos interactivos de acción en vivo para los fans.
- Captura volumétrica portátil
Esta exposición muestra un prototipo de un sistema nuevo capaz de capturar y distribuir reconstrucciones 3D animadas de personas, objetos y espacios con baja latencia en cualquier lugar. El sistema solo requiere siete sensores, lo que le permite instalarse rápidamente en cualquier lugar para cumplir la demanda por distribución de video 3D en vivo. El stand permite a los visitantes disfrutar de una vista de 360 grados de los jugadores del Manchester City y del público en un espacio 3D del metaverso, a través de tabletas y las pantallas de realidad espacial de Sony.
- Pantallas de realidad espacial: Un nuevo prototipo con una pantalla grande de 27 pulgadas
Sony presentará un prototipo de 27 pulgadas de la pantalla de realidad espacial (SR Display) que reproduce el mundo real con imágenes espaciales 3D. El formato de pantalla más grande permite mostrar objetos de tamaño real para poder reproducir las imágenes médicas y los diseños de productos con mayor realismo. En el stand, SR Display se utilizará para mostrar contenido de gráficos computacionales 3D con aplicaciones en varios campos, tales como los datos de las nubes de puntos utilizadas en la RV (realidad virtual) y la RA (realidad aumentada), así como arquitectura y diseño asistido por computadora (CAD), en un espacio virtual. Además, el video multivista creado por los datos deportivos en vivo y los personajes virtuales de Hawk-Eye ahora se pueden reproducir en SR Display como un nuevo estilo de entretenimiento.
- Previsualización impulsada por “mocopi”
La tecnología de previsualización se demostrará utilizando el sistema de captura de movimiento móvil “mocopi” de Sony, el cual permite a los creadores revisar el manejo de su cámara y las posiciones de los personajes con edición VFX* en la etapa de preproducción. Un modelo CG se muestra en el monitor de visualización, que se sincroniza en tiempo real con el movimiento del modelo que lleva puesto el dispositivo “mocopi”. Esta tecnología contribuye a optimizar el flujo de trabajo de producción y permite a los creadores simular la producción en las primeras etapas, lo que mejora la calidad de su trabajo.

Sony exhibirá PlayStation®VR2 (PS VR2), el casco de realidad virtual de próxima generación para PlayStation®5 (PS5™) que brinda una experiencia inmersiva de juego inigualable. PS VR2 cuenta con algunas funciones clave activadas a través de PS VR2 Sense Technology, tales como retroalimentación del casco, seguimiento ocular, sonido 3D y botones adaptables, así como retroalimentación táctil del control PS VR2 Sense™. Ciertos videojuegos para PS VR2 y PS5 estarán disponibles para probarse, además de accesorios para PS5 que se demostrarán en el stand.
