Toyota Argentina celebra el Mes del Ambiente y reafirma su compromiso con la gestion sustentable
La jornada comenzó con un recorrido por el interior de la reserva que fue guiado por la organización Aves Argentinas y les permitió a los estudiantes aprender sobre las características de la naturaleza de su región. También plantaron especies nativas como la fumo bravo, sesbania, murta, tala y algarrobo blanco y compartieron la liberación de un zorzal colorado que fue rehabilitado por el Ecoparque de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires.
Durante el mes de junio la compañía realiza actividades de concientización para el cuidado del ambiente. Además, en la reserva natural que tiene en su planta de Zárate se realizó una plantación de especies nativas y la liberación de un zorzal colorado, junto a colaboradores, alumnos de escuelas locales y miembros de la comunidad.

Zárate, 6 de junio de 2024.- Toyota Argentina celebró el Mes del Ambiente junto a escuelas y ONGs en su Reserva Natural de Zárate, un espacio creado para la conservación de flora y fauna nativas y para educar sobre la preservación de la biodiversidad. Más de 80 alumnos y docentes de las escuelas N°11 Dionisio Miguel Saavedra y N°24 Ricardo Guiraldes de la ciudad de Zárate compartieron junto a directivos de la compañía y representantes del municipio local un día especial con actividades para el cuidado ambiental.

“Junto a nuestra comunidad y organizaciones de conservación ambiental buscamos reforzar nuestro compromiso con la educación y la conservación de la biodiversidad. Durante este mes, nuestro objetivo es profundizar sobre todas las actividades que nos permiten hacer más sustentable nuestra operación, como el cuidado del agua, la eficiencia energética o el compromiso con la cultura del reciclaje. En Toyota creemos que la concientización es uno de los elementos claves para lograr transformaciones en el largo plazo”, afirmó Andrés Massuh, Director Regional de Planeamiento Estratégico.

La compañía está comprometida con la gestión ambiental desde el inicio de su operación. Guiada por el Desafío Ambiental Toyota busca reducir el impacto durante la fabricación y todo el ciclo de vida del vehículo. Avanza firme en este camino siendo líder en ventas de vehículos electrificados y con diversidad de acciones como, por ejemplo: utilizar 100% energía eléctrica renovable en el proceso productivo de la pick-up Hilux y SW4, reducir el consumo energético a través de reingeniería de procesos, nuevos equipos, retrofit de tractores de arrastre, entre otros.

Asimismo, el sistema de gestión ambiental y energía está certificado con las normas internacionales 14.000 y 50.001 y día a día el foco está puesto en disminuir la generación de residuos. La tasa de reciclabilidad es de 95% y profundiza este compromiso con su programa Kankei de economía circular a partir del cual transforma desechos en autopartes y productos de merchandising sustentable.
El uso racional del agua es también fundamental en su gestión. Por eso, además del monitoreo y tratamiento de efluentes, desarrolló una planta de reuso que le permite reutilizar el 20% de su agua industrial.

La empresa tiene como prioridad el fortalecimiento de su cadena de valor para una gestión más sustentable. Se ofrecen capacitaciones, se comparten buenas prácticas y se brinda apoyo en la implementación de iniciativas.
